7-Zip.org is free software for decompressing and unzip the tar.gz files.

Download tool from 7-Zip.org.

Select > [.exe file] Download > [Location, say Sydney,Australia] Download > Save > [Save in,select] c:/mydownloads > Save (wait, saving 7z442.exe)

Go to c:/mydownloads > [double click] 7z442.exe > [Destination folder] C:/Program Files/7-Zip > Install > Finish

Go to c:/Program Files/7-Zip > [right click] 7zFM.exe > send to Desktop (create shortcut)

That's it.

How To Use 7-Zip

Select > [icon on desktop shortcut] 7zFM.exe > [double click] > Computer > [double click] > C;/ > [look for folder] > [get file] abc_module.tar.gz > Extract > [Path mode]Full pathnames > [Overwrite mode] Ask before overwrite > OK

Note: abc_module.tar.gz becomes abc_module.tar (first extract is unzipping)

Repeat:-
Select > [folder] abc_module.tar > [double click] > Extract > [Path mode]Full pathnames > [Overwrite mode] Ask before overwrite > OK

The extracted folder/files look something like this:-

C:/myfoldername..../abc_module.tar/abc_module/[more folders/files all here]
