New Content Type 'Image' To Edit Certain features
Drupal's core content types are 'page' and 'story' types. When we added the external 'image module', a new content is created i.e. 'image' type. All content types have certain basic features like we can choose (or not to) to be published, make it front page, allow read write comments, etc. We can edit these basic features at the type level if we wish or edit it for each individual node only.
Here we change some basic features of the 'image' content type.
Select > Administer > Content management > Content types
(continue) > [Image] edit
(continue) > [scroll down] > [Workflow] > [Default options] > [Promoted to front page] uncheck > [Default comment setting] Disabled > [Allow editing of meta tags] uncheck > Save content type
Create 6 Nodes Of Image Content Type
We shall create 6 nodes of image content types categorised as follows:-
Hand Tools - pictures of (1) chisel (2) mallet and (3) crosscut saw
Kitchen Utensils - (1) scissors (2) frying pan and (3) can opener
Select > Create content
Note: there is a new content type 'Image'. Select > Image
(continue) > [Title] Chisel > [Image Galleries] Hand Tools > [Image] Browse > c:/My Pictures/chisel.jpg > [Body] chisel > Submit
Similarly, we put the other 5 images under 'Hand Tools' or 'Kitchen Utensil's.
